Our approach to this gorgeous new home was to give it context through a multitde of green textures, which are accented by playful pops of color that speak to the personality of this special family. In the front, the terraced hardscaping helps to ground the required elevation of the house, providing a warm, human scale to the entry experience.
This client has a love for color, symmetry and balance–three words that make our hearts sing. From the driveway patterning to the pops of purple everywhere, this landscape is a delight for the senses.
The design intent for this special project was to minimize the disconnect that can sometimes happen with bayfront homes, which are required to have a higher elevation than the street and shore. The solution: a series of terraces, punctuated by water and glass, which move fluidly through the home, and a strong horizontal presence to balance the vertical impact.
The landscape for this Bird Key residence was designed in concert with the homeowners’ unique lifestyle. Low maintenance materials are instrumental for these jetsetters. Spaces to entertain and gather were created on several scales. A sleek plant palette and rhythmic paving patterns complement the home’s architecture and bayfront exposure.
This coastal contemporary house in historic Boca Grande deserved a lush, tropical backdrop, but was in severe need of organization, nuance, and privacy for the pool area. Our solution was a series of raised containers and a floating hedge that allow golden light and salty air into this renovated sanctuary.

We engaged in discussions about circulation and scale as these concepts related to their uniquely shaped corner lot. The result is a reimagined site plan that celebrates destination and detail.
