GOLD: Best of American Living Awards

We are proud to announce that our Modern Coastal project, a collaboration with Michael K. Walker Associates, Jones Architecture, and Last Detail Interior Design, has won Gold in the 2019 Best of American Living Awards, an annual competition sponsored by the National Home Builders Association. 

From the award application: 

Located in a secluded, coastal neighborhood with numerous building restrictions, the design intent was to create a seasonal beachfront residence honoring the legacy of the historical fabric of the older neighboring structures…The ground-floor areas provide for expansive open air entertaining and storage while all living areas are located on a single elevated living floor above the required flood elevation of state coastal building standards.”

The judges commented on the preservation of the beach views, as well as the “clean, beautiful back yard.” This was such a special project to be a part of and continues to evolve. We are so grateful to the judges for agreeing that this gorgeous residence deserves recognition!
