This project provided us with an exciting opportunity to transform an outdated outdoor space into a wonderful indoor-outdoor living experience with a resort influence. The result is an inviting, engaging space that beckons not just the eye, but the entire body, into the garden.
The intention for this family home was to integrate the landscape with the interior by creating outdoor rooms, delineated with hardscape material and creative use of the vertical plane, as well as bringing nature in through careful viewsheds from the home. With no offsite vistas on this interior lot, the design team focused on the existing pool as the featured amenity, enhancing the experience with a custom designed water feature and spillway that not only offers noise abatement for the nearby road traffic, but provides a sparkle to the space, day and night.
