Outdoor Rooms for Outdoor Living
This Moroccan inspired home is extended into the garden through a series of separate gardens connected within a unified exterior composition. Each outdoor room is artfully defined using structural and landscape elements. Just as the courtyard brings the outdoors in, the landscape extends the interior and reacts to the architecture seamlessly.

This project was a true design collaboration betweem landscape architect, architect, interior designer and client, with the shared goal of extending the interior spaces throughout the gardens. The driveway design was informed by the axis of the house, and diminishes the large bays of the garage through a bold paving pattern. In the backyard, distinct outdoor rooms evoke unique emotions, yet harmonize through material selection, axis, and framing of views. The result is a conversation between interior and exterior that is echoed throughout the project.
