Canalfront Classic

This Bird Key corner property presented a unique challenge: the first thing the user sees are the rear and side yards, yet the architecture is bold and direct. It was important to keep the focus on the front door. We achieved this by using Areca and Cabbage Palms plantings on the sides that created privacy without drawing attention, allowing the architecturally-informed symmetrical plantings at the front door--sculpted Olives, structured hedges, and flowers--to be the main focus. At the crux of the property is a focal Royal Poinciana to help guide the eye to the home's entry. The backyard is a relaxing tropical oasis, surrounded by Coconut and Bottle Palms more suited to the canal frontage.
