Gilkey Sets the Scene for School’s Macbeth

Michael A. Gilkey, Inc. was happy to donate potted trees and shrubs to Southside Elementary school for Mrs. Fogleman’s fourth grade performance of Shakespeare’s Macbeth.  The play, which ran from May 26 to May 28, incorporated set design and costumes created by the parents of Mrs. Fogleman’s students.

“This is the most wonderful group of kids,” said fourth grade parent Autumn Venafro. “Mrs. Fogleman believes in them so much that they believe they can do anything. That’s why they could do Shakespeare.”

Venafro’s daughter Emma agrees. “Macbeth was special and fun because we all got to work together,” said Emma. “And having plants and trees made it more realistic.”
